Whatever you decide to go with, make sure the shop that is installing the alarm is very competent. I had an $550+ Clifford G4 + a $150+ remote starter installed in my first car, and it was great for about a year. After that, it was NOTHING but problems. Constantly going off in the rain, or when it got very cold. Remote starter worked intermittently, flashing lights stopped working, and a ton of other problems. The shop went out of business shortly thereafter, and I was SOL. By year 3, all I had was a $700 remote locking system, when I should have had an amazing security system. When I ripped it out a few years later to sell the car, the wiring/splicing job was atrocious. There was NO order to how they placed the modules and sensors. I would never want an installation like that in my Z. So unless you plan on doing it yourself, do some research before you decide to go with a specific shop. =)
